07:16 pm - ...to find the high ones -- cont.
Through a woman who works with Hela, I was able to speak with her. I was adopted at a young age and only know of my mother, a German girl. She was young when I was born, so, she gave me up for adoption. Those who adopted me were/are a great family of the same heritage. The parental units have passed, I have siblings. On to why I wanted to speak with Hela. I asked her if any of my blood relation were in her realm. She said that one male resided with her. I'm going to presume that, maybe 3 generations ago, my kin were heathen. I didn't think to ask from which side this man came, nor which generation.
I also neglected to ask about my adoptive family. Do any of them, from the last 2 generations and being of a different faith, reside with her. Does anyone have any insight regarding that? Fostering was an important part of the Germanic life, so I feel fortunate that I was adopted into the same heritage.
Hela also said that she is speaking to me, if I only listen. She also said, that to being hearing her, I need to visit a body of water kind of southwest of Colorado Springs. Does anyone, in that area, have an idea of where that might be. I was thinking Seven Falls, or even Manitou. Maybe Gunnison?
So, along with listening for Wodan, I will need to listen for Hela.
I'm excited.

07:44 pm - ...to find the high ones
I took a walk near my house. I live near a river that dates to the 1800's. Though I've walked there time and time again, I couldn't help but feel that this time was different. I was more aware of the surroundings, you could say, more in tune with the whole experience. I was told that Wodan has interest in me...though I've always thought myself more of a Donar's man. That still may be, so I'm wondering what Wodan has in store for me...or does he just need to show me something. During the walk I noticed things I hadn't before, new growth, dead century-old trees providing nourishment for the new. The river seemed more alive, the different smells, sounds...I'm learning how to listen. I hope Wodan will speak.
...to be continued.

09:00 am - Where I fall on the Jarnsaxa scale (J4.5)
4. Only those of Northern European background can truly follow the
path of Ásatrú. This does not imply that people of other races are in
any way "less" than those of Teutonic heritage, only that they are
different. All races and ethnic groups are equal in freedom to make a
life of worth, and the theologies and pantheons that are connected to
a non-Northern European heritage are every bit as valid and important
as Ásatrú. By the same token, all non-Teutonic ethnic paths are just
as closed to me as Ásatrú is to others. I feel it is of greatest value
to follow the path of the your cultural and ethnic background, as
these forces have had a great impact on who you are. Because I
acknowledge and respect the validity of the various paths, however, I
am willing worship with those who respect our Gods but are not of our
path or ethnic group, and will certainly worship with any Tru man or
woman.

02:12 pm - New Tattoo!!
Going to get another tattoo next week. This one will have special meaning (as do my others) to me, as it is the eagle off of the shield from the district of Berlin in which I was born.
( Here's a pic of the shield... )

12:25 pm - Family Kincaid
I’ve always been drawn to the black watch (dark green/dark blue) tartan. I couldn’t explain its hold over me. I thought that it was due to my Germanic heritage, but I soon discovered the reason, as I believe it to be.
Through past-life regression, I discovered 3 different times that I’ve lived. For this discussion, I’ll talk about the Celtic warrior.
I was a Thomas Kincaid from the early to mid 1500s, in Scotland.
I was a great warrior, family man, artisan, and friend. I was married, though I didn’t find out to whom, with two daughters, again, no names. I lived in a cottage type of dwelling, and had livestock. I was fairly well-off, but not royalty. The only name that came through the regression, besides mine, was Geoffrey, a companion and fellow warrior. I’m not sure of his surname, or even the cause for which we were committed to fight. I was a great story-teller, and musician. I was an expert with the pipes. During one of our battles I was wounded in the left arm to the seriousness of almost losing it. I was a large red-haired, bearded man. Geoffrey was close to the same build.
This information was relayed to me through the regression by both Geoffrey, and the medium.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

01:42 pm - Hallo...
Hallo...I'm Andreas
I was born in Berlin Germany, adopted by an Air Force couple (fortunately, into the same heritage) and brought to the US at a young age. I was brought up in a fairly liberal Christian household. I came home to the Folkway about 5 years ago. I feel closest to Thor, though, I would not ignore any other god/goddess call.
